Double-Down Chicken Sandwich - Set To Launch Tomorrow 3/12/2010

An alert International FPT reader sent us the following information for which we are grateful as always. It is our readers that have kept us going for 5+ years.

The staff here remembers the night we tried the Low Carb Burger from Carl's Jr. & how suprised we were to find lettuce instead of buns holding it together. Now, Kentucky Fried Chicken has taken the alternative bun idea to a whole new level.

Debuting tomorrow is the Double-Down sandwich at KFC - described as "The new KFC Double Down sandwich is real and it's coming April 12th! This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original Recipe® or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce. This product is so meaty, there’s no room for a bun!".

Are we gonna try this off the hook offering from the Colonel? Absolutely!
