Chicago Dogs in Las Vegas

One of our readers from Las Vegas sent in these pictures of a new hot dog joint in town.

Chicago Dogs offer up a variety of Chicago treats. This time our reader got the original Chicago dog. Topped with great ingredients like mustard, relish, sport peppers, pickle, tomato, celery salt. All on a Vienna Beef sausage inside a poppy seed bun.

Fresh and Easy Pre Made Jalapeño poppers

Fresh and Easy is a limited store, mostly in the western united states. If you can find one near you, try the poppers. They come in their own cooking container. Just open, pop on the grill, cook about 30 minutes and BOOM! Done!

Mackies of Scotland Aberdeen Angus Steak Potato Chips

Anyone who follows the Fat Pride Times knows we love our potato chip snack treats and are always interested in the many variations available.

This time around we found these Angus Steak flavor chips. These chips are imported from Scotland. As you can see from the example chip, they are a thick cruncher. The chip has a salty, meaty flavor, that of a steak. We suggest you get your hands on a bag. The chips may be hard to find since they are a import. .

Strawberry Creek Collection Habanero Mayonnaise

We all here at the Fat Pride Times love mayonnaise. Very rarely do we find a variation on the classic sandwich spread.

Sent in by a reader in the southern Nevada regions, we have this habanero mayonnaise. A spicy and very tasty addition to a sando. Not sure where to find this item outside the southern Nevada area. We did find that strawberry creek does have a website, google them and order some right away.

Albertsons Chocolate Snickers Desert Torte

Looks like some kind of whipped chocolate center. Our reader Reno Ron, said this was able to feed four people. Ron also added he would purchase this item again.

Here at the FPT, we have mixed emotions on the company known as Starbucks. Some of our staff has to have their morning venti iced caramel machiato before they can get productive work done. Others refuse to spend their hard earned schillings at the coffee giant. Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, this article may have you thinking twice of what you are eating/drinking.

Making the round on the interwebz is the story about the cochineal insect. The insect is widely used through out the world as a coloring agent for food and other items. Cochineal is considered safe by the FDA, and is used in many other foods such as jams, meats, cookies, just to name a few.

If you want to aviod this product, look for the names carmine (sometimes listed as carminic acid or Natural Red 4).

Taco Bell Doritos Locos Taco Supreme

According to the ad executives from Taco Bell, a dude and his friends drove over 900 miles to sample the Doritos Locos taco. Luckily for you (us) this taco is now available at your nearest Taco Bell.

The FPT crew had a Doritos Locos taco party and each member of the staff sat down and tried the new taco. Everyone who tried it, agreed the Doritos shell is MUCH better than a regular corn shell.

If you priders get out there and support this taco with your purchases, we hope it will become a permanent member of the Bell family.

Double Yolk Eggs Are They From Alien Chickens?

A few readers lately have sent in pics of two yolks in one egg shell. The Fat Pride Times feels this may be either a conspiracy or alien phenomenon.

If anyone else has information on this two yolk one egg situation, please let us know.

Beer Flavor Potato Chips Do They Really Taste Like Beer?

A loyal reader sent in this photo of beer flavored potato chips. According to our reader, the chips do not taste like beer. But she enjoyed the taste and crunchyness of the chips.

Also, it seems at the time of this post, the chips can only be found at a Albertsons grocery store. Let's see I'd this product can be found anywhere else.

Lindt Excellence Chili Pepper Dark Chocolate Bar

Here at the Fat Pride Times, we love when two food items can be matched together to create one excellent food, like peanut butter and chocolate, or sour cream and onions.

When we heard that there was a dark chocolate bar infused with a chili pepper, our whole crew just had to try it.

The taste start out with the dark, slightly bitter taste of the dark chocolate. Once you have chewed and swallowed the chocolate, the fun begins. The back of you tongue gets a little warm from the heat of the pepper. Not too much, but just right.

We recommend this chocolate bar to lovers of peppers and chocolate. Though we have heard this treat may be hard to found, keep a eye out, you may just find it.

Today February 28th is National Pancake Day Free Pancakes at IHOP

That's right Fat Priders, FREE PANCAKES!! Today the 28th is National Pancake day, and to celebrate, IHOP is giving away a free short stack of pancakes. We are sure there has to be some kind of catch, there always is. We tried to reference the IHOP website and it mysteriously will not load. Could there be a conspiracy lingering in the air...we will have to wait and see.

Deviled Eggs Spiced Up Not For The Weakl

Looking to make a better Deviled egg, one of our interns came up with a creative concoction for the eggs.

With all the ingredients pictured, all where mixed together with the yellows of the hard boiled eggs. Our intern said use more mustard and red hot than horseradish, but not much.

And for the finale, a jalapeño slice is added on top. Nice bite and spice to these eggs makes them a winner.

Green Valley Ranch Buffet Fat Priders Paradise

The Green Valley Ranch Casino in Henderson has probably the best Buffet in Henderson for sure. The buffet offers over 100 items at any given time from Chinese, to Mexican, American to Italian.

Great selection, price is around $14 for lunch. A little high, but you are getting good quality food. Also don't forget to visit the dessert bar, it's really good.

Cheetos Crunchy Salsa con Queso New Snack

The cheeto is a Fat Prider favorite going back many generations. This new version may be the best yet. The awesome cheese and salsa flavor is one to remember. We here @ the Fat Pride Times are not sure if these new snacks are offered in snack size bags. We have our I-Team looking for these bags.
