IncrEdibles - Portable Push-Up Foodstuffs Served On A Stick

Skep, one of our loyal readers, contacted us over the weekend with information on something we have never ourselves and left us quite intrigued. IncrEdibles, are frozen foods on a stick that you microwave and then push what you need out of the top of the tubes they serve them in. The two main items are scrambled eggs and macaroni and cheese - however they offer 3 'flavors' of each. These debuted in 1999, 10 years ago, have they died out? Are they an East Coast only thing? Any info appreciated.

Mrs. Skep's Homemade Egg Muffins - Including Recipe & Pictures!

One of our favorite readers sent us the following recipe and pictures of her homemade 'Egg Muffins'. We are aware that the picture of the recipe cannot be read and have sent it to our graphics person for enlarging and re-posting ASAP. Skep tells us "I use about half of the meat (turkey sausage) and cheese (feta!) called for in the recipe and they turn out great for an easy on-the-go breakfast". We here at the FPT test kitchens could not agree more, however we also think this would be a great "eat them all" and take a long powernap item as well.

New Hard-Boiled Egg Art from regular contributor Chris Norton

Since we are lucky enough to have had multiple submissions of hard-boiled eggplatters photos from our friend Chris Norton, the staff here decided during our roundtable meeting yesterday that we are now declaring them as art. Mr. Norton scores very high in the presentation arena. This photo is of a "Tabasco Ladden Egg Platter".

The Construction Worker Meal Plate

One of our readers who works at the 'apprentice/helper' level in the construction business sent in the following take on eating your meal while on a jobsite: Construction is a real man's job. You can't play any games when you are stepping into the workplace with people from 17 other countries who refuse to wear deodorant because the very idea is not man enough. To compete in such an environment one needs real fuel. Were not talking about the bullshit you get from dunkin donuts. Pictured above is the hearty meal that will leave you whipping your ass in the portable toilet with sand paper. - leftover potatoes with garlic and parsley - scrambled eggs with grated parmesan cheese - slice of turkey hill bacon - toasted everything bagel with tuna, chopped onions, mayo, salt and pepper - a full carton of of orange juice "We don't fuck around"
