The batter is very easy to make, just add water. Then coat the chicken and place it in the fryer for 5 minutes @ 375 degrees. Chicken comes out a nicely coated golden brown. We all here agreed that it is ok when you batter chicken in seafood seasonings. You be the judge

Larry the Cable Guy Spicy Chicken Batter

If you have not heard of Larry of the Cable Guy by now, consider yourself in the minority. For all of us that are familiar with his "git-r-done" attitude you might recognize his chicken batter.

This we have hired a intern to do our cooking, cleaning and all around grunt work, we will call him Bobby

Bobby deep fried up some chicken chunks coated in the Larry the Cable Guy spicy chicken batter. After a taste test by a few of the people hanging around the office, it was voted a 3-2 winner. Two of the people didn't like it because the are vegetarian, the other 3 would recommend it to others.

Fresh and Easy Belgium waffle mix

We have great readers here at the Fat Pride Times. One loyal follower sent in a product to our test kitchen for review.

This time around it is Belgium Waffle mix from a store only located in the southwest United States called Fresh & Easy. Fresh & Easy prides itself in offering fresh foods, low prices and speedy check out ( they don't have checkers, self check out only). We have mixes emotions on self check out. It can be convenient, but also it is talking away a job from someone who could use it

Anyways, back to the waffles. We fired up the waffle iron and went to work. This was a special batch of waffles using chocolate chips (chips are optional)
The mix is really easy to make, all it takes is milk and butter.
Waffles came out to perfection, nice and crispy with plenty of syrup holding pockets.

Mission Halloween Tortilla Chips

Mission chips have released their Halloween colored tortilla chips. On the bag it says "limited edition". We wonder if any readers have any insight on how limited these chips are?

A Fat Pride Times staffer was traveling around the east coast and all the locals in Atlantic City said they had to try White House subs.

If you get the chance to visit, make sure you are not in a hurry. The line to get a sub is usually 5-10 people deep, all times of the day.
