Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

Here we have a great food idea sent in my Norm in South Carolina. Here at the FPT test we had to try it out for ourselves. Start with a few jalapenos, cut the stem off and hollow them out with a peeler. Get out all of the seeds and white stuff inside. Be careful not to puncture the pepper. Next take some taco seasoned ground beef and cream cheese and mash the two together. Once you have a nice meaty cheese combo, cram that into the hollowed out jalapenos. Being careful not to split the pepper. Once you have done that wrap each pepper in a slice of bacon. Now put them in the oven and bake at 375 until the bacon is cooked. Be careful because the inside of the pepper will be very hot right out of the oven.

GD. Those are proper. I am going to try and make me a batch of these. Gotta make sure you got a ranch dip when you tear into these.

I have doing a variation of these on the grill. I slice the jalapeno in half removing seeds & veins. Into each half, a "thumb-sized" piece of chicken breast. Then enclose the chicken with a wedge of sweet onion. Wrap in bacon and grill over medium heat until bacon is crispy. The jalapeno comes out with a sweet bite. These are wildly popular at BBQs.
