Canadian Safeway Carts Nice & Clean

Bottle Return in USA is Messy Business but not so in Canada. I’ve heard from the FatPride Times that in the US when you purchase a Safeway brand soda or similar beverage from the empty can or bottle can only be returned to a Safeway store. This causes all sorts of problems as customers will use the Safeway carts to transport the cans to the recycling area usually located in the back of the store. Remnants from the cans spill onto the plastic carts attracting dirt and crime, thusly making your trip to purchase food very unpleasant. Canada uses an organization named 'Bottle Depot' to handle the returning of beverage containers for deposit refund. The government owns some, most are private businesses however.
