Yes. 'props' can be edible. At the FatPride Times Annual Conference that great buffet we invite our readers to is an example. We do not charge them as we consider it 'props' for a job well done.
I can't wait for this year's conference. Last year I showed up late and the mermaid ice sculpture was looking like Dr Ruth.
