Bread and Milk Bowl?

I recently was on a social visit to a prospective new staff member's home and witnessed something I found very odd. This person took some regular sliced bread and crumbled it onto bite-size pieces and put them in a large bowl. Then milk was poured over them and they were macked on like one might eat cold cereal. I am always open to new ideas, and maybe this is an old one even, but this really put me off my lunch. Has anyone else seen this move?

I picture you leaving there in haste as people did on the Munsters, forgetting coat and hat, speeding backwards down the driveway, running over mailbox, etc...

When I was a kid they didn't have cereal. You had to find some small rocks and a goat to milk. As we got older, mom gave us bread and milk, and goddamn - it was good, especially with a crapload of sugar. Now, you don't want whole wheat, or rye, or some other kind of jew bread. You want white bread. You hear me? White, goddamnit. It's the only kind of bread that will go with milk, which is also white. You can ignore the brown crusts, however. They can't be helped.
